A true conservative quietly works for the best interest of all.
Jonathan and Jill married 34 years ago and now boast about their children and grandchildren. Family gatherings include 17 focusing on the seven grandchildren and the next one on the way. Jonathan and Jill live in Colorado City.
Most of Jonathan’s career has been in education, but it also includes experience in construction, insurance, and transportation (Union Pacific). He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Utah State University and a master’s degree in management with a concentration in information technology from Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs.
His career as an educator started immediately afterward earning his MS degree when he was asked to teach computer programming at CTU. He later earned the Faculty of the Year award from CTU-Pueblo. Jonathan transitioned to K12 education as a business teacher in the Kim School District, where he eventually served as superintendent. He earned teaching endorsements in business, social studies, and mathematics. Jonathan is now self-employed.
He spends his free time enjoying his large family, bicycling Southern Colorado’s beautiful terrain, and kayaking with his wife.
Jonathan sees Colorado heading in the wrong direction. That is why he was the principal author of Citizens Initiative #80 Campaign Expense Limits. He also did the research and filed the complaint to the Secretary of State which resulted in a supervisor being appointed to oversee the Pueblo county elections office.
